I followed this procedure and had no troubles. Here is a link to the Studiomux Forum where IvanX has written down the procedure to get it to work in Catalina: I haven't run a stack of channels as yet, but at this stage it was rock solid for 3-4 hours. Made sure I printed the FX loop return before closing things down. I also played a couple of different synths live in from the iPad on a separate send into Reaper while the FX loop was in progress and all was good. Yes, I know that there was a small amount of latency in there and if I wanted to be truly diligent I would measure this and adjust, but for the experiment it worked well. I tried out an experiment in Reaper where I was sending a signal through to AUM where I had a couple of FX set up and back into Reaper. I have studiomux installed on an iPad Pro 9.7 with iOS 13.5.1 and the studiomux server installed on a MacBook Pro with 10.15.5 I tested Studiomux with Catalina this evening and it seems to work like a charm. Maybe that's not a problem as I'm a few OS version behind, anyways. Studiomux hasn't been updated in 2 and a half years though.

Maybe it has to do with the bootable drive, and not just that thise two don't work together - which happens a lot with Apple, when they update either mac or iOS.something seems to not work any more ) (Although when I set up a bootable drive with Mojave on it recently to test out things, I noticed that IDAM didn't work with my iOS12 iPad. I have just had zero problems with IDAM since using it. It would be great if Apple gets the IDAM audio flowing both ways! I think the only people using IDAM are musicians, and you'd think Apple knows what we want. So, that would be complicated considering that a only one of: a microphone, an audio interface, or IDAM if it was an audio input, could ever be recognized.

However, there is the complication that iOS only recognizes one audio interface at a time. I'm guessing it's just Apple's limited imagination of what people want. I'm sure there's no hard technical limitation.
